We made it 2 wins out of two in the premier league, as we defeated fellow Londoners 2-1 at the Emirates.
In our first home game of the season, it was vital to start off with a win. Although it wasn’t the best of performance, but we secured three points.
We struck first from our first shot on target, as Alexander Lacazette finished off a great move from an Aubameyang assist.
Aubameyang would have hoped to celebrate his new contract with a goal, but it didn’t happen for our captain.
Antonio levelled for West Ham just before half time break, as he tucked it home from close range.
The second half started with shaky Arsenal moments but we held on and we were saved by some solid Gabriel defending.
As the half went on, Willian made way for Pepe. While Lacazette made way for Nketiah. The second substitution was particularly pivotal, as Nketiah got the winning goal to secure three points.
Last week, it was pre-match altercation between Ceballos and Eddie. Today, it was Ceballos providing Eddie with an assist. The celebration showed that the two were in great terms again.
This win is important as it means we have gotten maximum points from the first two matches. However, it also raises a lot of questions about certain positions and personnels that need to be addressed.
