Arsenal dispatch Sheffield at the Emirates

by Koolkola

We moved up to fourth after two goals in three minutes from Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe.

We didn’t do much in the first half but we came alive in the second half after the introduction of Nico Pepe.

Nketiah got the nod ahead Lacazette and Holding dropped to bench as Gabriel returned to the starting xi.

Bukayo Saka finished off a brilliant cross from Hector Bellerin, as he put home a brilliant header. Nico Pepe, once again assisted by Hector, scored a brilliant second after a sweet run and finish.

David McGoldrick reduced the deficit back late in the game, but we held on for a 2-1 victory. This takes us to fourth on the table, with 9 points.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang  was the closet to a goal in the first half, after his long range was tipped over.

Dani Ceballos nearly found our captain after the break but he couldn’t get there in time.

Pepe came on for Eddie to add some bite in our attack and we upped the tempo, with Saka getting his first goal at the Emirates minutes later.

We added a second three minutes as Bellerin found Pepe down the right, and he used his pace so well to beat the defenders before slotting in low to the far right.

Despite a late charge by the Blades, we held on for the three points.
