Arsenal Fan of The Week – @MoAmali

Howdy, welcome to our Fan of The Week Page and this week we feature Top Drawer Gooner @MoAmali. Mohammed has been supporting the club since 1997 and has remained dedicated to the cause ever since. Ever willing to engage in lengthy conversations on Twitter about anything Arsenal related, @MoAmali always manages to pass across his pro-establishment ideologies of how Arsenal Football Club is currently run. He brings a very intellectual angle to analyzing Arsenal and draws from a huge knowledge base of the club when engaging. Very well worth a follow.

Strangely, his description of himself is in contrast to how most Arsenal fans see current events around the club. Whilst, he maintains a pessimistic view of life, he is optimistic about Arsenal. Not sure that attribute is one you find around. Enough from us, Let’s meet @MoAmali  

Bio

I am Mohammed Amali, a lawyer, doctoral researcher at the University of Huddersfield and a very passionate Arsenal fan. Naturally more of a pessimist, Arsenal represents one of the very few things I maintain a positive disposition toward. There is nothing better for me on TV than an Arsenal game.

1. When did you start supporting the club?

Got attached in the 97/98 season but Kanu’s capture the following season sealed it.

2. What attracted you to the club?

Style of play. No surprise, the 97/98 team were the ones who wooed me. They were easy on the eye.

3. Who is your favourite all time Arsenal player?

Alexander Hleb

4. Who is your current favourite player in the team?

Mikael Silvestre

6. If you could sign one player to join Arsenal who would it be? (no Messi or Ronaldo)

Antoine Griezman

7. If you had one ticket to watch Arsenal against any other team which team would you pick?

Liverpool.

8-2 loss at Old Trafford (I was in the stands)

9. Your all-time favourite Arsenal game?

Arsenal 2 Barcelona 1

Huge admirer of Arsene Wenger’s philosophy here.
