After a near one year hiatus, it’s great to reawaken this page on our blog. Since we featured @MoAmali over a year ago he has gone on to meet Arsene Wenger and bagged himself a Doctorate as well. This week we feature Nnamdi Obinwanne, who goes by the handle @obisingledigit on Twitter. Love him or detest him, he is one of the most influential people on Nigerian Football Twitter. I’m not sure he knows this but I googled his name and Klear.com lists him as the top 19% influencers in Nigeria’s Twitter football community. Given his criminally under-followed status, Nnamdi’s reach is purely due to the top-notch quality of his tweets.

I am Nnamdi Obinwanne an Engineer, Gooner, makeshift comedian, haphazard thinker, twitter(er). Love the Arsenal to death, love Arsene Wenger.
- When did you start supporting the club? Casually began following them after the 98 season after we signed Pires, a player I came to admire during the 1998 World Cup. I was a bigger Man United fan though! After we signed Kanu, I swung for Arsenal and have been holding on for dear life since.
- What attracted you to the club?
Used to be Thierry Henry, now it’s Dennis Bergkamp/Pires/Patrick Vieira. Can’t make up my mind really.
3 Who is your current favourite player in the team?
Answer: Tough one, it’s a 3-way between Aaron Ramsey/Laurent Koscielny/Olivier Giroud
4 Your worst Arsenal signing?
Answer: Samir Nasri. He could have been so much more if he’d stayed. Played with us for 3 years, was injured for two of those then left and his career nosedived. Also had a poor attitude and was a little coward. Waste of talent.
5. If you could sign one player to join Arsenal who would it be? (no Messi or Ronaldo)
7. If you had one ticket to watch Arsenal against any other team which team would you pick?
Answer: Manchester City
8. Your all time worst Arsenal game?
Answer: The 2-1 loss in the 2006 UCL final was horrible. I had no appetite for 2 straight days. The 3-1 loss to Barcelona at Camp Nou (the one RVP got sent off) was another really bad one. Bad officiating (and Almunia) killed us in both games.
9. Your all-time favourite Arsenal game?
Answer: Gotta be Arsenal 2 Barcelona 1 at the Emirates. The 3-0 blitzing of Man United was cool as well as was the 3-2 win against Hull City in the FA Cup final 2014.
10 Your most memorable Arsenal goal?
Answer: Henry going past the entire Liverpool to score in that Invincible season the weekend after getting knocked out of the UCL by Chelsea and the FA Cup the weekend before. The Henry goal vs Leeds in 2012 FA Cup made me scream!
