David Luiz could miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury that requires surgery. Mikel Arteta confirmed that surgery is been considered for the Brazilian and this could big a blow to the back line.
The Brazilian defender missed out on our 3-0 defeat to Liverpool and the boss echoed the uncertainty.
“We don’t know,” he said. “There are a few possibilities on that: being a little bit more conservative with the treatment or having to go through a surgery.
“We are talking with the doctors right now to make the right decision on that. But it looks like he can be out for a few weeks at least.”
With only few months left in his contract, the knee injury could affect David Luiz’s future in the club. It also means that the club wouldn’t be able to count on him as the season draws to an end.
