Arsenal host Nottingham Forest tonight in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup. The team had a game on Sunday and could only get a day rest before this fixture. Due to this, a lot of changes are expected from the team that faced Aston Villa on Sunday.

Unai Emery addressed the press about the upcoming Carabao Cup tie and mentioned that the defensive trio of Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin, and Kieran Tierney could make a return tonight.

“We are going to decide tomorrow but the first idea is if we can, they will have minutes on Tuesday,” Emery said on Sunday. “This is the first idea, but it depends on tomorrow for their feelings and the decision for the first XI because we played today and we are going to play on Tuesday.

“It’s not normal [to play again within] two days and we need fresh players and we need different players.

“Holding for example, he will play on Tuesday and we are going to decide tomorrow with Hector and with Tierney [if] we will want to use them. I don’t know if that’s starting in the first XI or after from the bench, or if they are feeling well.”

Rob Holding has been out since last year after he injured got injured in a Premier League tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Hector Bellerin has also been out since January after injuring his knee in the 2-0 win versus Chelsea at the Emirates. Kieran Tierney came from Celtic injured after his 25 million pounds move.

Arsenal fans will be delighted to see this trio in action once again.
