Ozil has played just once in the Premier League this season, playing 71 minutes of the 2-2 draw with Watford last month. He has been completely left out of the squad for the past two league games against Manchester United and Bournemouth.
His exclusion from the squad and matchday starting line up has been arguably the biggest discussion among the Arsenal fan base lately. Unai Emery had earlier stated in an interview that others deserved it more, which is why Mesut has been getting little playing time.
During the fans’ forum held on Thurday, Raul Sanllehi was asked by fans why Mesut hasn’t been playing. Sanllehi claimed that players are picked based on their performances in training.
“There is nothing against Mesut on the contrary and I hope we get to see him much more in the next games because his qualities are without question, but he needs to contribute 24/7 and that’s what Unai expects from him.
“It’s not that he’s not working so well, but there are others who are deserving more playing time, but Unai can’t treat him differently than any other player.”

There has been rumours of Mesut Ozil going on loan in January. However, those rumours are unfounded at the money, and the fans will be hoping to have their creative midfielder in the next set of games.
