Saka injury better than earlier feared

Bukayo Saka was helped off the pitch at Elland Road due to an injury during the game. It looked bad at first look, giving how the youngster had to be helped off the pitch.

However, fears of a serious injury have been dismissed after the club confirmed he suffered a dead leg in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United.

We are yet to know if he will be available for Sunday’s match against Wolves but it is great to hear that he has not suffered ligament damage, the fear that grew stronger after comments by Jurgen Klopp.

Willian and Thomas Partey will also remain in London with calf and thigh problems respectively. Also, positive Covid-19 diagnoses for Mo Elneny and Sead Kolasinac mean they are self-isolating.

David Luiz has made the trip to Norway after the birth of his daughter, while Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are closer to returns after respective injury spells.
