The club has officially confirmed that Kieran Tierney will be out for up to our to six weeks after a ligament damage to his left knee in Saturday’s defeat to Liverpool.
The left back doesn’t need surgery but he will be out for majority of the games before the end of the season.
Tierney’s only cover at left back is the right-footed Cedric as Bukayo Saka has proven to be vital to our front three. This comes as a big setback for the team, as most a lot of our attacking play happens through the left back.
Tierney joins David Luiz on the sideline as the Brazilian will also miss important games at the tail end of the season. This
Ahead of Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first-leg clash with Slavia Prague, the Gunners also confirmed that Martin Odegaard is a doubt due to an ankle knock picked up on international duty. The Real Madrid loanee did play against Liverpool at the weekend but was apparently struggling with discomfort.
