Arsenal moved up to third place on the English Premier League table after a 1-0 home win against Bournemouth. The match had it’s only goal inside the first ten minutes, as summer signing David Luiz popped up to head home from a Nicolas Pepe corner.
Head coach, Unai Emery addressed the press after the win and spoke on how he feels about the performance and the result.
, “We were speaking before the match, the first four matches we played, today we wanted to do one step ahead, doing better and controlling better the match but knowing it was going to be difficult.
“We played with a very good organisation, defensively very strong. We scored one goal and got into their box with possibilities to score goals.
“The second half was a very good opportunity to keep our confidence, to get better with the ball and stop their action with the ball. We did it perfectly in the first half but in the second half, maybe because the chances arrived late, we lost that.
“We are very happy with that result and very proud of that result.”
Arsenal head into the second international break with 15 points, 8 points behind league leaders Liverpool and 1 point behind 2nd place Manchester City.
The team is expected to have fan favourite, Alex Lacazette back fully fit after the international break. This means that there will be nomajor injury worries for the team and everyone will be available for selection.
