Wolves leave Emirates with a draw

by Koolkola
Like the latter part of last season showed, the only way Arsenal would stand a realistic chance of winning the Europa League comes with ensuring Aubameyang is fed well enough throughout the Europa League knockout stages.

Arsenal record yet another draw at the Emirates. After surrendering a two goal lead to Crystal Palace last week, the onus was on the manager and team to bounce back with a convincing dipaly. However, Wolves came from behind to leave the Emirates with a 1-1 draw.

Mesut Ozil returned to the starting xi after a fine display in the Carabao cup during the week. Nicolas Pepe was dropped to the bench and didn’t feature at all in the game. Captain Granit Xhaka was completely dropped from the squad amidst the brouhaha with the fans.

Arsenal took the lead via Aubameyang as he reached 50 goals for the club on his 78th appearance. Arsenal kept the lead into half time as Wolves kept asking questions. Bernd Leno made a fine save to keep the team in the lead.

The second half started with Wolves piling the pressure on us. They got their reward on the 76th minute as Raul Jimenez headed home a Moutinho cross to level the scores.

Arsenal remain fifth of the table after 11 matches.
